There is much to admire on foot, with a number of excellent walking routes across the Holme Valley and Marsden Moor, while some prefer to enjoy the view on a gentle cruise along the Huddersfield Narrow Canal. If the bustle of the town is closer to your tastes, nearby Huddersfield offers plenty to see and do. The centre boasts some excellent shopping facilities: obscure speciality stores lining the Byram Arcade complement a wide range of high street names housed within the impressive Kingsgate Centre. Sports enthusiasts head for The Galpharm Stadium, an international venue which is home to the town’s football and rugby clubs.

A quieter ambiance can be enjoyed at Huddersfield Art Gallery, where a year long programme of exhibitions, events and activities showcases the best contemporary work from regional, national and international artists. In addition, the Kirklees Collection contains over 2000 items representing British art through the last 150 years. Performing arts are well served at The Lawrence Batley Theatre, which
stages professional, in-house and community drama alongside music and cabaret. This refurbished grade II listed building also provides an intimate venue for regular stand-up comedy nights.

Filmgoers will find the best in big screen entertainment at the nine-screen UCI cinema, next to The Galpharm Stadium. There is also a small independent cinema, the Picturedrome in Holmfirth. Huddersfield’s restaurant scene is impressively eclectic, offering something to satisfy every palate. Exquisite haute cuisine is well represented along with exotic international flavours from every continent. Traditional Yorkshire food and award-winning local ales can also be savoured in the area’s numerous country pubs.
Titanic Mill’s location is a beautiful rural setting which offers peace and seclusion, but the development also benefits from easy access to the M62, providing quick connections to many of the region’s commercial centres, including Leeds, Bradford and Manchester. Several bus services lead to Huddersfield town centre via the A62, while nearby Slaithwaite Rail Station is one of the stops on train services to Manchester and Leeds which run hourly during week days and more frequently at peak times.
